Training plans really come alive when I’m able to teach the hows and whys of specific sessions and adaptations. How does riding slowly make you go faster? What changes do those awful sprint efforts bring about? Why is my heart rate higher when it’s warm? The more you know about your training, the more engaged you’ll be with the process.
I also really get to know you, the person. It’s you that does the training and the events, so knowing you is important – your lifestyle, how your training fits around it, your goals and ambitions, your strengths, weaknesses – all of it!
